SOUTHSIDE
Celebrating 75 Years of being a
Community Church on the Southside
ESTABLISHED IN 1950
The Southside Methodist Church seeks to meet the needs of a dynamic, growing residential community by providing a Christian ministry for the larger number of families who are establishing homes in the beautiful southside section of Jacksonville.
As we reflect on our rich history, we also turn our eyes toward the future. The theme for our 75th Anniversary, "Bold Generations for Christ" speaks to our calling to step forward in faith and continue the work that began so many years ago. We are committed to growing disciples, deepening our outreach, and expanding our ministries so that Southside Methodist will be a place of hope and transformation for future generations.

We invite you to participate fully in this season of celebration! Whether you're a founding family member or a recent addition to our church family, your presence and participation make our Southside community and anniversary celebration complete.

Easter Week Events
April 13th - 20th, 2025
It is truly fitting that we celebrate Southside Methodist Church’s 75th Anniversary during Lent, a sacred season of reflection and preparation leading up to Easter. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025, and continues for 40 days (excluding Sundays). Easter is the cornerstone of our faith, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, and this year, it holds even greater significance as we mark 75 years of ministry, worship, missions, and service together.
